A FLOWER-arranging de-monstration was held at Al Eman School, Isa Town, yesterday.
More than 150 pupils attended the event, organised by the Bahrain Garden Club (BGC).
It was part of a series of demonstrations to help private school teachers and pupils to attend flower-arranging demonstrations in preparation for its 43rd Annual Amateur Flower and Vegetable show.
Guest speakers were BGC vice-president Widad Mubarak and BGC private schools co-ordinator Shah Zaman Shams.
Ms Mubarak demonstrated flower and vegetable arrangement and Ms Shams spoke about the upcoming show.
Private schools should register for the show's school garden competition by today.
Private school gardens will be judged next Wednesday and Thursday.
The BGC's annual show is one of the features of the Riffa Views Bahrain International Garden Show (RVBIGS).
The RVBIGS is held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad and supported by the Kings' wife and chairwomen of Supreme Council for Women, Her Highness Shaikha Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa.
It will be open to the public and trade visitors from February 22 to 24, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
