It was a sweet victory for
the BJP candidates after a long wait. The winners of the
BJP candidates of Udupi district are celebrating their victory
with great pleasure.
The results in the district are as follows:
Udupi - K Raghupathy Bhat of BJP defeated Pramod Madhawaraj
(Cong) by a margin of 2479 votes. Though it was a tough
battle between both the candidates, Bhat managed to gain
victory
Kaup- Lalji R Mendon of BJP defeated Vasanth V Saliyan by
a margin of 867 votes. Lalji who was in lead from the beginning
ended up with victory and brought smiles on the faces of
his supporters.
Byndoor- K Laxminarayana of BJP defeated K Gopala Pujari
(Cong) by a margin of 7970 votes. Initially Pujari was in
lead but lated K Laxminarayan took over him.
Karkala- Gopal Bhandary of Cong defeated V Sunil Kumar (BJP)
by a margin of 1532 votes.
Kundapura: Haladi Srinivas Shetty (BJP) defeated K Jayaprakash
Hegde (Cong) by 25,083 votes. Haladi who had been winning
incessantly has once again made a record in Kundapur. People’s
support and appreciation has helped him gain victory. |
