A local flower shop owner
is hoping Detroit police catches the thief who broke into
his shop twice in one week.
Wesley Berry, owner OF Wesley Berry flowers, located at
Congress and Griswold avenues in Detroit said he has been
targeted the last two Wednesdays.
The thief was caught on surveillance tape in both incidents
and appears to be the same person.
Berry said he told police he thought he knew who the man
was.
The first incident took place around 1:40 a.m. last Wednesday.
The thief smashed a brick through the front window, grabbed
the computerized cash register and left.|
The second incident took place this Wednesday just after
1 a.m. Surveillance video caught the thief throwing a brick
through the window, grabbing the cash register and leaving.
Berry said in both incidents the thief only managed to take
a minimal amount of cash.
Berry owns flower shops in West Bloomfield, Canton and northwest
Detroit. He opened this location in February.
"It doesn't break the spirit, but it doesn't do anything
to fortify it," Berry said. |
