A few years ago I was passing
by the beautiful Capital of Pakistan. On the way through
the most commercial and busy market of Islamabad, i.e. Jinnah
Super, I noticed many children with their families selling
flowers. They were barefoot on the road. I just shouted
at the top of my voice when one of the children came running
towards me in front of the car and was bruised. All these
groups of flower selling families were begging the others
to buy flowers from them. There was no separate place from
them to sit or sell the fine-looking flora which they were
carrying in their hands.
Such a view, after four years I passed down the same road,
I was completely stunned when I looked at the left side
of the road. A new picture came in front of me. All those
flower selling people now have their own well-organised
flora shop. I went to the owner of one of the shops and
asked him about it. He told me that a cellular company has
sponsored these shops for them. I think it is a great contribution
by helping the people who need it and at the same time enhancing
the beauty of the city. |
