There will be displays and
judging in roses, growing plants, cut flowers, bonsai, succulents,
miniatures and flower arranging. Artistic crafts, picture
boxes, floral designs and table decorations also will be
judged.
The show takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $3. Admission is free for children younger
than 12 and Coronado Floral Association members.
In addition to flowers, the park, at Orange Avenue and Sixth
Street, also will be filled with books and art, and a car
show and contest will be held nearby Sunday.
Friends of the Coronado Public Library will host its 37th
annual Spring Book Fair, offering more than 65,000 books,
until 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The Coronado Art Association will hold its Art-in-the-Park
event until 4 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
At Orange and Isabella avenues, Coronado Main Street will
present its 18th annual Motor Cars on Main Street event
from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. |
