“And the Winner is
. . .” Flower Show sponsored by the Laurel Garden
Club, a member of The Garden Club of America, will be open
to the public from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Rogers-Green
House, 506 North Fifth Avenue, Laurel.
Visitors will discover who won the ribbons among all the
entries in the four flower show divisions: flower arrangement,
horticulture, photography, and junior garden club flower
arrangement. In the arrangement divisions, participants
interpreted various movies, including “Casablanca,”
“Beauty and the Beast,” and “An American
in Paris,” through flowers and natural materials.
The horticulture division includes such categories as annuals
and perennials, roses, trees, container grown plants, and
shrubs. The photography division includes images of garden
pathways, gates, fountains, and wildlife.
Judges for the show represent The Garden Club of America
member clubs in Texas and the Mid-South. |
