A FLOWER arranging
demonstration was a blooming success and raised more
than £2,000 for our Hospice at Home Appeal.
The
appeal, which looks set to smash the £300,000 mark, has another £2,295
to add to its total thanks to the Granta Flower Club.
The money will be used
for patient care.
In May of this year
the club organised a hugely successful flower arranging
demonstration featuring the internationally renowned
florist Paula Pryke. Paula kept the audience of more
than 500 enthralled as she produced a succession of breathtaking
floral arrangements.
Lucy
Day, community fundraiser at Arthur Rank House said: "The
ladies of Granta Flower Club worked tirelessly to make
this event such a great a success and we are very grateful
to them all for their support. It is good to know that
we have such wonderful supporters who are prepared to
help us raise the funds we need."
