By now most summer flowers have wasted
away, but don't think for a minute time's up for all flowers.
The fall chrysanthemum is a great variety to carry you into
winter. They can be found at any garden store.
"What you look for when you pick out one is plenty
of new little blooms, these little blossoms here, just beginning
to open," said garden expert Dave Jackson, of Jackson's
Greenhouse, 1933 NW Lower Silver Lake Road.
Pansies are also a fall favorite. They come in a variety
of colors and are easy to maintain, he said.
Violas are perennials and provide color through the fall.
Chrysanthemum, pansies and violas are still alive through
the winter, so don't forget to water them about once a week.
