Former state Sen. Laura Toy of Livonia
has been chosen to join the board of directors for United
Cerebral Palsy of Michigan. Toy is co-owner of Cardwell
Florist in Livonia.
UCP Michigan is a statewide association that promotes
the productivity and independence of people with cerebral
palsy and other disabilities.
The City of Southfield was approved for a $500,000
grant from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund. Combined
with local and matching funds, the project totals $1 million
for developments that include a community nature and environmental
education center. |
