Muswellbrook and District
Garden Club hosted its annual chrysanthemum show for professional
growers last Thursday.
This year the show also included a large range of other
flowers and floral art.
The event was the start of the club’s 30th anniversary
year.
Chrysanthemums are principally grown for Mothers’
Day, which falls on May 11, and this year’s chrysanthemums
and autumn flower show was a feast for the senses.
The professional growers were judged by chrysanthemum-guru
Bruce Skein of Sydney, while the non-professional section
was judged by Aberdeen’s Peggy Claydon. |
