| Bring your favorite old
flowerpots to Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum
on Saturday, April 26, at 11 a.m. for an Antique Flowerpots
"Roadshow" and lecture.
Garden historian, Susan Tamulevich, will present an illustrated
lecture in the mansion's living room, complete with examples
from her own collection of antique pots, on the evolution
of the common flowerpot, tracing its development from ancient
Egypt to today's green roofs. The talk will be followed
by an Antique Roadshow-style show and tell, where the audience
is encouraged to bring their pots for her to identify. After
the lecture, enjoy the thousands of daffodils blooming on
the grounds as well as associated Daffodil Days festivities
such as tea and exhibits.
The lecture costs $20 for members; $25 for non-members and
preregistration is required. For more information, visit
