OLYMPIA - Downtown got a
floral facelift today as volunteers and city workers hung
120 flower baskets.
Planted with petunias, sweet potato vine and an assortment
of other blooming plants, the flowers are a project of the
Parking and Business Improvement Area.
The PBIA spent $15,000 for the baskets, which will hang
until October, said Janis Dean, owner of Popinjay and a
PBIA board member.
It’s the second year for the flower baskets. There
are 20 more this year. |
