ohannesburg - A 24-year-old
man was shot outside a flower-farming business in Houtpoort
near Reinsburg during an attempted robbery on Monday, said
Heidelberg police.
Captain Thivhulawi Tshilate said two armed men confronted
two employees, a man and a woman, as they were closing the
business about 18:30 on Monday.
The gunmen demanded money and safe keys. The 24-year-old
man told them there was no money or safe keys.
One of the men then shot him in the abdomen before both
fled on foot.
The shot man was taken to Vereeniging Medi-Clinic in a
serious, but stable, condition.
