Saugus
- The Saugus Garden Club will host their 6th annual Flower
Show Saturday, March 29 at the Saugus Senior Center, 466
Central St.
The public is invited to join club members from 1-3 p.m.
for a memorable afternoon.
The theme of this year’s show is Beatrix Potters Peter
Rabbit. From Mrs. Rabbit’s Pantry, using a fruit or
vegetable container, to Mrs. Tigglywinkle’s Miniature
Arrangement, a display on a 6-inch base, each work in the
categories is a piece of art in itself.
This is a juried show, judged by members of the Garden Club
Federation of Massachusetts, Inc.
A scale of points is awarded based on conformance to requirements,
design, expression and distinction. For each category, one
blue ribbon, red ribbon and yellow ribbon will be awarded
for the first, second and third place finishers along with
white ribbons for honorable mentions.
The show is free and open to the public.
Light refreshments will be served by club members.
For the past 62 years, the Saugus Garden Club has offered
gardening and community service to the town of Saugus. |
