Christmas is quickly approaching, but for one small flower shop it's already here.
The owner likes nothing more than to fill his community with cheer. Eddie Moore has a Christmas fairyland. With Christmas quickly approaching, it's hard for some people to get into the Christmas spirit.
Beverly Stallings with the Alabama Tourist Center says if your not in the Christmas spirit when you leave Moore's shop, then something's wrong.
Moore is the owner of a small garden and florist shop in Henagar in Jackson County. The Christmas season reveals Moore's big heart.
"This is just something we do, we do this for people to come and enjoy it," Moore said.
He fills his shop, wall to wall, with Christmas trees. His goal? To get members of the community in the Christmas spirit. Each tree has a certain theme and creativity is something the locals says Moore was born with.
Moore's flower shop first began this Christmas tree tradition with three trees.
Lou Ann Sholls is a close family friend and says that seeing Moore's finished work has helped her forget about some of her hardships in life.
Moore says the main thing, of is celebrating Christmas.
"It's the season to give and we enjoy it," he said. |
