Who will will lead Spalding's
50th Flower Parade?
Judges will tonight select the flower queen and deputy for
the 2008 parade on behalf of the Spalding Flower Parade
and Carnival Trust.
The winner and her deputy will receive a number of prizes
and the honour of representing the district for the coming
year in the parade's golden jubilee.
The competition is being staged by Tulip Radio in association
with West End Leisure and the coronation of the new flower
queen will be at Loaded nightclub, Westlode Street, Spalding.
Judges are Lincolnshire Free Press and Spalding Guardian
editor Nick Woodhead, Ian Canham of Broadgate Homes, Amanda
Puttick, of South Holland District Council, parade director
Adrian Jansen and Rosemary Pilgrim, of Springfields Horticultural
Society.
The winner will succeed Rebecca Rayner.
